Overclocker Luumi Edges Past Strat for i5-4670K Cinebench R11.5 Top Score

According to TechPowerUp, overclocker Luumi has taken the lead in HWBot's Cinebench R11.5 rankings for the Intel Core i5-4670K. The 10.8 cb score replaces a record that had held for roughly 12 years.
Clock speed behind the new score
Luumi ran the 2013 Haswell quad-core at 6,301 MHz while cooled with liquid nitrogen, producing 10.8 cb. That result sits just above the 10.76 cb Strat had reached at 6,249 MHz.
The clock works out to roughly 66 percent above the chip's 3.8 GHz boost clock. TechPowerUp notes that this is a considerable margin for a four-core, four-thread part manufactured on Intel's 22 nm process, a figure describing how small and densely packed a chip's circuitry is.
Close contest in the rankings
The leaderboard remains tightly packed. According to the report, Moose83 occupies third place with 10.74 cb from 187 submissions.
The record applies only within the i5-4670K category rather than to Cinebench R11.5 as a whole. Luumi has prior experience with the benchmark, having set an 8-core world record on an EVGA Z390 Dark in 2018.
