Enough Phone packs iPhone 13 mini size, swappable battery and updates to 2032

The Enough Phone, a 5.3-inch Android handset, is set to launch in May 2027 with a body roughly the size of the iPhone 13 mini and a battery users can replace themselves. The company plans a price of $599, while its Kickstarter Super Early Bird offer lists the phone at $399.
Compact body with modest specifications
The phone measures 132.8 x 63.8 x 12 millimetres, which places its footprint close to that of the iPhone 13 mini while being noticeably thicker. Its 5.3-inch LCD display offers a resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels.
Inside sits a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, alongside a microSD slot. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor, and the selfie camera offers 32 MP. A fingerprint sensor is built into the power button. The company describes these specifications as mostly final.
Screwed-on back makes battery replaceable
Because the back is screwed on rather than glued, the 3,500 mAh battery can be swapped with relative ease. The planned battery range runs from 3,500 to 4,000 mAh. The plastic housing, however, is not waterproof.
Choice between two software options
Buyers can pick Android 17 with full app support or OdysseyOS, a simplified operating system that leaves out features such as social media apps. OdysseyOS is an Android skin used by SLEKE, which currently sells repurposed Pixel phones running it. Under either option, security updates are set to continue until 2032.
Pricing and availability
The phone is being funded on Kickstarter, where a Super Early Bird offer lists it at $399. The planned price is $599, and shipping is expected to begin in May 2027.
Demand for compact phones
The iPhone 13 mini and the Asus Zenfone 10 were among the last truly compact mainstream smartphones, and both were discontinued years ago. The Enough Phone is presented as a new option for people who want a small device with a replaceable battery and long-term software support.
