Alldocube has put its iPlay 80 mini tablet on sale in Japan, a week after announcing it, according to Notebookcheck. The compact Android device pairs an 8.68-inch 90Hz screen with a Unisoc T610 chip and 4G LTE connectivity.

Display and processor specifications

The screen is an 8.68-inch IPS panel with a 1,340 x 800 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Its fully laminated in-cell construction registers touch from ten points at once and delivers a typical brightness of 350 nits.

Inside, a Unisoc T610 processor runs two Cortex-A75 performance cores alongside six Cortex-A55 cores, all clocked at up to 1.8GHz. The tablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which a microSD card can extend by up to 1TB.

Battery, software and connectivity

A 5,850mAh battery sits at the heart of the iPlay 80 mini, and it charges at 18W PD through its USB-C port. The tablet runs Android 16.

On the wireless side, the device offers dual-SIM 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, plus GPS, BeiDou and GLONASS positioning. Its sensors include a compass, an ambient light sensor and a gravity sensor, and the hardware adds two speakers, a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and a 2MP front camera.

Where it sits in the range

The iPlay 80 mini extends Alldocube's compact line, which already includes the iPlay 80 mini Pro and iPlay 80 mini Turbo. It measures 212.1 x 124.8 x 7.8mm and weighs about 350g.

Buyers seeking more performance can look at the iPlay 70 mini Ultra, which uses a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor and offers a 144Hz display.
