Apple Publishes tvOS 27.2 Release Notes Outside the Settings App

Apple has released tvOS 27.2 for the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) and newer models, with its release notes published in a support document rather than inside the device's Settings app. According to MacRumors, the update brings a set of FaceTime changes and a new way to browse screen saver categories.
Where the release notes now appear
The Apple TV has no release-notes view for software updates in its Settings app. Apple instead maintains a support document that it updates from time to time to describe what is new in each tvOS release. The notes for tvOS 27.2 are now listed there, MacRumors reports.
FaceTime and screen saver features
Apple describes tvOS 27.2 as including a handful of FaceTime improvements. One of them lets people join a call directly from their Apple TV by following a FaceTime link. The release also adds the ability to move through different screen saver categories at random.
The update further carries bug fixes and security patches.
Where this release sits in the version history
No tvOS 27.1 was ever shipped, so tvOS 27.2 is the first Apple TV software update to arrive since tvOS 27 was released in September.
