GPD readies Win Mini Ultra handheld with Intel Arc G3 Extreme chip
GPD has indirectly signalled that its clamshell gaming handheld, the Win Mini Ultra, will launch soon, and a Weibo post confirms it will be powered by the Intel Arc G3 Extreme. The company has not yet formally revealed the device's specifications.
What GPD has confirmed so far
GPD has not formally announced the Win Mini Ultra, but it has reshared a podcast from Handhelds United on its Weibo account, a move that points to an imminent launch. In the same post, the company confirmed that the handheld will be powered by the Intel Arc G3 Extreme, a chip that a recent leak had already pointed to.
Beyond the processor, the post did not spell out any other specifications. The brand has, however, teased that the launch is around the corner.
Leaked display details
According to the leak, the handheld's screen will reportedly offer a 1200p resolution, an upgrade over the 1080p display of the 2025 Win Mini. The same leak describes an 8-inch IPS panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Adaptive Sync.
The leak also cites 100W PD fast charging support, with an Anker 140W charger mentioned. These details come from the leak and have not been confirmed by GPD.
Background to the device
The Win Mini Ultra has been in development for some time, and GPD already runs a dedicated channel for the device on its official Discord server. Intel, the semiconductor and electrical company based in Santa Clara, is the supplier of the chip GPD has named.
