What happened

An automated system running on an upcoming AI model turned hundreds of Linux kernel bugs into working exploits (a piece of code that turns a flaw into a way in) that give an ordinary user root access, and wrote a patch (a fix the maker issues for a flaw in its software) for each underlying flaw, OpenAI revealed in a new research post. OpenAI is an artificial intelligence company based in San Francisco, founded in 2015.
