UK Amazon Quick User Group holds three 2026 meetups with over 150 attendees

The UK Amazon Quick User Group, a community of Amazon Quick users in the United Kingdom, drew more than 150 attendees to three quarterly meetups in 2026, according to the group's own roundup. The sessions centred on agentic AI and on using the service to turn data into faster decisions.
What the meetups covered
According to the roundup, attendees spent much of the three events building with Amazon Quick instead of listening to talks about it. Participants set up custom chat agents for their teams without writing code, tried Amazon Quick Desktop on their own laptops with access to local files and an Outlook connector, and used Amazon Quick Apps to produce a working web application from a description written in everyday language.
Hands-on workshops also addressed automating processes with Amazon Quick Flows and Amazon Quick Automate. The roundup says Amazon Quick Research substantially shortens the time spent on research. The Amazon Quick chat agent, which links to tools and data and carries out actions for the user, served as the common thread across the sessions.
Format and location
All three events took place at the Amazon UK Corporate Office in Shoreditch, London. Each day opened with informal networking before a full programme of customer talks, product updates and panel discussions. The roundup describes a 75-minute hands-on workshop in provisioned sandbox accounts as the centrepiece.
The first quarter placed more weight on introductions and demonstrations, because the group was meeting for the first time. The organisers report that the sessions became more practical and that questions from the audience grew sharper over the year.
Customer examples
According to the roundup, customer stories have featured since the group began. Speakers from Arriva, Carsa and Propulse Lab described how their teams use Amazon Quick in very different settings. The organisation's account of that work covers real-time incident management, removing dashboard sprawl through governed data layers, and automating most support workflows with AI. These are the group's own descriptions and have not been independently verified.
Open questions
- How much of the reported customer outcomes can be independently verified?
- Will the group keep its quarterly format in the coming year?
