Xiaomi has set October 27 as the China launch date for its Redmi Book 2027 laptop series, according to a report by Gizmochina. The company has confirmed a 72Wh built-in battery and a move to Intel's third-generation Core processors.

What Xiaomi has confirmed so far

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Book 2027 series will go on sale in China on October 27, but it has shared few other details. The one specification it has confirmed is a 72Wh built-in battery. The number of models in the lineup has not been disclosed, and that information is expected to come at the launch event.

The same day will also bring the Redmi K100, so the laptops are not the only new product Xiaomi is introducing on that date.

Processor and design changes

For this generation, Xiaomi is adopting Intel's third-generation Core platform, a newer processor line than the one in the earlier models. Xiaomi says the laptops will also get a revised design with brighter colour choices and a clearly better build quality.

According to the company, the models are aimed at people who often work away from a desk.

Predecessors and the wider picture

The new machines succeed the Redmi Book 14 and 16 2026 models, which appeared in April with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processors. Intel is a semiconductor and electrical company headquartered in Santa Clara, while Xiaomi is a consumer electronics and home appliance company based in Beijing.
