Fujitsu unveils 634-gram FMV Note U UX-L3 with Intel Core Ultra 7 355

Fujitsu has introduced the FMV Note U UX-L3, which the company says is the lightest 14-inch laptop in the world. The machine pairs a rugged carbon-fibre body with an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, whose integrated NPU handles AI workloads, according to a report from Notebookcheck.
Durability and weight of the chassis
Fujitsu states that the laptop has been tested under the MIL-STD-810H standard against drops, vibration, shock, dust, humidity and high and low temperatures. The carbon-fibre body is designed to survive 200 kgf of pressure applied on top of its closed lid.
At 634 grams, or 1.40 pounds, the UX-L3 underpins the company's claim to the lightest title among 14-inch machines. Its revised charger is also lighter than the prior model's, now weighing 148 grams.
Processor, memory and AI features
The laptop runs an 8-core, 8-thread Intel Core Ultra 7 355 whose integrated NPU delivers up to 49 TOPS of AI compute power, intended to accelerate services such as Microsoft Copilot in Windows. It ships with a fixed 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory and 512 GB of PCIe SSD storage.
Fujitsu also bundles Umore, AI software that tracks users in 3D and applies skin correction and virtual makeup.
Display, battery and connectivity
The 14-inch matte LCD offers a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. Its 31 Wh battery has a rated runtime of 7.5 hours when playing videos under the JEITA 3.0 testing standard, and the fast charger can add about 80 percent in an hour, according to Fujitsu.
Ports include two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 with DP Alt Mode and PD, a full-sized HDMI, Ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot, alongside Wi-Fi 7 and BT 5.4. Users can sign in through the Windows Hello fingerprint sensor or the Full HD webcam.
