Meta rolls out Style Sketch virtual try-on app in three Asian markets

Meta has introduced Style Sketch, an AI fashion app for trying on clothes virtually, in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. According to Engadget, the release is a limited one confined to parts of Asia.
Limited availability across three countries
Style Sketch can be downloaded on Android and iOS in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Engadget characterises the debut as a restricted launch in parts of Asia that arrived with little warning.
The existence of the app was first disclosed by social media consultant Matt Navarra in a post on X, according to the same report.
Building a digital wardrobe
The app can link to a user's Facebook and Instagram accounts and assemble a virtual closet from pictures already shared there. Those who would rather not connect their accounts can upload photos from their camera roll or capture images of their garments with the phone camera instead.
Once the wardrobe exists, Style Sketch proposes outfit combinations drawn from it.
Another narrow Meta release
The launch follows a comparable limited release by the company. A few weeks earlier, Meta introduced Waddle World, a Tamagotchi-like game it describes as a "daily journal disguised as a pet", in the Philippines.
