Samsung's Galaxy T1 sports earbuds, which the company has yet to announce, have received certification from the US Federal Communications Commission, according to a report by one outlet. The filings give the most detailed view so far of a product that may be heading for a US launch.

What the filings disclose

The certification documents include prototype hardware details, the results of Bluetooth testing and a diagram of the charging case. Read together, they offer a more specific picture of the device than earlier rumours did.

Samsung is an electronics company based in Suwon. The filings, as reported, do not by themselves establish a launch date or pricing.

Earlier leaks and how they compare

Before the certification, leaks pointed to an ear-hook design, customisable controls and a charging case with a 595mAh battery. The new documents are consistent with that earlier picture, though they do not confirm every detail.
