The chair of the UN's climate science panel said on Monday that the world's leading climate scientists will reconvene as soon as possible, after member states failed to agree on when to publish their key new findings on global heating, according to a report by Phys.org.

Member states remain divided on timing

The panel's chair made the remarks on Monday, as member governments had not reached agreement on the publication date for the body's forthcoming assessment on global heating, the Phys.org report says.

Open questions

  • When will the panel next meet to resolve the timing of the release?
