OpenAI reports three new discoveries in maths, computing and physics

According to The Verge, OpenAI has posted results on GitHub and presents three new findings as major discoveries in mathematics, computer science and physics. The step follows, by less than a month, a large release of manuscripts that the company said contained solutions to long-standing mathematical problems.
What has been published
The Verge reports that OpenAI put its results online on GitHub on the day of its report. The first item listed is a work titled Local smoothing for the Euclidean wave equation.
The company characterises the three findings as major discoveries, assigning one each to mathematics, computer science and physics.
Context from the earlier release
The new material arrives less than a month after OpenAI released hundreds of manuscripts that it said addressed long-standing questions in mathematics. OpenAI is an artificial intelligence company based in San Francisco, founded in 2015.
