What happened

According to the company’s results, data center (a building full of computers that runs online services) accounted for approximately 58% of AMD’s total revenue, which reached a record $13.4 billion. AMD's reliance on data center growth highlights its vulnerability to shifts in enterprise spending, impacting future revenue stability. AMD is an electrical and semiconductor company based in Sunnyvale.

The chipmaker reported $8.55 billion in data center revenue for the quarter, up 97% year over year.

That one segment now does most of the work. The numbers behind the quarter AMD reported its fiscal Q3 2026 results on November 3, 2026.

Total revenue of $13.4 billion was up 45% year over year. So the overall company grew fast, but data center grew more than twice as fast.

Profitability kept up with the top line. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share rose to $2.09, a 74% increase from the prior year.
