Samsung has published a list of Galaxy smartphones and tablets that are due to receive the Android 17-based One UI 9 update. The list was posted by Samsung Japan, so its schedule applies to that region, though the device list is expected to apply more broadly.

Which devices are on the list

According to 9to5Google, Samsung has confirmed an official list of Galaxy smartphones and tablets that will get the One UI 9 update, which is based on Android 17. The outlet notes that the list is not a conclusive one, and Samsung has not presented it as the final word on every model.

Some omissions stand out in the reporting. Plus variants of recent Galaxy S flagships are not included, and neither are many Galaxy A devices or handsets sold in other regions.

Rollout timing and regional scope

One UI 9 first arrived on the Galaxy S26 series in September and has since expanded to a number of last-generation Galaxy smartphones. The dates on the list were published by Samsung Japan and are therefore technically valid only for that market.

According to the report, the device list should nonetheless apply globally, and Samsung is expected to continue its worldwide rollout for some time afterwards, with many entry-level devices likely to receive the update through December and January.

Open questions

  • Will the omitted Plus models and Galaxy A devices receive One UI 9 later?
  • Will the dates for markets outside Japan match the schedule published by Samsung Japan?
