The annual event, organised by the American Astronautical Society with NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, puts the return of humanity to the Moon at the centre of its agenda.
Programme centres on lunar return
This year's symposium is organised around four themes: humanity's return to the Moon, sustainable infrastructure on the lunar surface, advanced space propulsion and the changing space workforce.
Planned panels cover Artemis II and III, flash talks on space propulsion, utilities and infrastructure for sustainable lunar operations, resilience of the Moon base supply chain, space nuclear technology, the new NASA workforce and engineering the future. Keynote addresses and awards presentations are also on the schedule.
Who attends and how media can register
The event gathers leaders from government, industry, policy and academia to review the current state of space exploration and to plot a course forward.
Journalists who wish to take part in person or online must register with the American Astronautical Society. The advisory was issued by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, whose media contact is Lance D. Davis.
