Meta has switched on Muse, its personal AI agent, in Singapore with eight local launch connectors, according to a report by e27. The debut contrasts with the US, where the agent entered Amazon.com without warning.

Connectors and where Muse runs

Muse became available in the city-state on iOS and Android, and through muse.ai. Meta presents it as software that does the work itself rather than only answering questions.

The launch is backed by eight local partners, which Meta labels connectors: Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada.

The US episode that shaped the rollout

When Meta turned Muse on in the US last month, the agent visited Amazon.com unannounced. Twelve days later Amazon ordered it off the site, objecting that the bot had not identified itself and that no one had sought permission.

In Singapore, Meta has involved its hosts from the outset, naming the partners at launch.
