Apple opens Siri AI preview to all developers

What happened

That means the long-promised overhaul of its voice assistant is now available to anyone with access to the Apple Developer Program. What developers are getting Apple unveiled Siri AI at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, 2026. Apple is a software and consumer electronics company based in Cupertino.

Support for watchOS 27 is expected to come later. Beyond personal context, the upgrade adds onscreen awareness and broader world knowledge.

Developer testing kicked off the same day through the Apple Developer Program.

The preview runs on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and visionOS 27. Siri AI is designed to pull from a user’s emails, photos and messages to understand what they actually mean.

Siri can see what’s on your display and draw on general information when answering. The feature with the most developer relevance is actions integration.

Siri AI can carry out tasks inside third-party apps, with WhatsApp and Microsoft Outlook among the examples Apple has highlighted.
