HWiNFO Lists PTL-080, a Smaller Panther Lake Chip for Arc G-Series Handhelds
What happened
The monitoring tool's list of upcoming changes now includes support for "Panter Lake-H 080," typo and all. Intel seems to be preparing a smaller chip for its Arc G-series handheld lineup, and the first trace of it has appeared in HWiNFO.
Leaker Jaykihn spotted the entry on X and says the chip, PTL-080, is an Arc G-series part with a 0+8+0+4 configuration. If that follows the same P-core, E-core, LPE core and Xe3 order Jaykihn has used before, it works out to eight E-cores, no P-cores or LPE cores, and a four-core Xe3 GPU (a chip built for many calculations at once, used for graphics and AI).
For comparison, the Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme both use a 14-core 2+8+4 CPU (the general-purpose processor at the centre of a computer), paired with 10 and 12 Xe3 cores respectively. This isn't the first smaller Arc G chip to surface.
