Arm AGI CPU is coming to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
What happened
At Oracle AI World, Oracle outlined plans to bring Arm AGI CPU (the general-purpose processor at the centre of a computer) to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in fall 2027. Oracle is an information technology consulting and software development company based in Redwood Shores.
The planned offering will give customers high-performance Arm compute for both the cloud applications they run today and the agentic AI services they are building next. Arm’s expanding role across OCI Arm is already an important foundation for OCI’s compute portfolio.
Ampere-powered Arm offerings support workloads spanning enterprise applications, containers, web services and data processing. NVIDIA’s Arm-based Vera CPUs, now generally available on OCI, expand that foundation with high-performance compute for agentic AI and enterprise workloads.
The planned addition of Arm AGI CPU will further broaden this portfolio, reinforcing Arm’s growing role across Oracle’s cloud and AI infrastructure. High-performance compute for cloud and agentic AI The opportunity spans established cloud workloads and new demands created by AI.
Agents depend on applications, databases and services to complete their work. They also create additional CPU demand as they execute code, retrieve data, invoke tools and coordinate tasks.
Infrastructure needs to support both efficiently, at scale. Arm AGI CPU brings together high-performance Arm Neoverse cores, high memory bandwidth and a design built for sustained performance under load.
