Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag 3 won't reach India until January 2027

Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag 3, unveiled a couple of weeks ago as the successor to the Galaxy SmartTag 2, will not go on sale in India until January 2027. The timetable was set out in a LinkedIn post by Daill Kim, according to Gizmochina.
Indian release slips to January 2027
The Galaxy SmartTag 3 is still unavailable in India, and the company now expects it to arrive there in January 2027. Kim, who holds the Tablet, Note PC and Wearable portfolio at Samsung India, gave that timing in a LinkedIn post, as Gizmochina reports. He did not name a specific day in the month.
South Korea is currently the only market where the tracker is on sale.
Smaller, lighter body with new finishes
Measured against the Galaxy SmartTag 2, the new model is 35 percent smaller by volume and 33 percent lighter. Its rounded body is fitted with an aluminium button, and it carries an IP67 rating against dust and water. Buyers can choose black or white, while a silicone case and a loop case are sold separately for fastening the tracker to belongings.
Wider compatibility and new ways to locate items
Previous Samsung trackers worked only with Galaxy handsets. The Galaxy SmartTag 3 also links to iOS devices via the SmartThings Find network, which lets a household that mixes iPhones and Android phones follow the same items, review location history and run local searches.
For close-range finding, the device relies on Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding. As it moves nearer to its owner, it hands over to ultra-wideband (UWB) for more precise positioning.
