Bedrock Robotics has secured $600 million to scale autonomous heavy equipment and combat construction labor shortages. | Credit: Bedrock Robotics San Francisco-based Bedrock Robotics has raised $600 million in Series C (an early stage of company funding) funding, co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital, at a $4.1 billion valuation.

The round brings its total funding to nearly $1 billion as it scales fully autonomous heavy equipment to address nationwide construction labor shortages. Anchored by a major partnership with Southwest contractor Haydon to automate earthwork in Texas, Bedrock has added regional partners across Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, and Virginia—pushing its autonomous retrofits onto live job sites spanning data centers, healthcare facilities, and heavy civil infrastructure.

Bedrock Robotics adds leadership In the midst of securing new funding, the company also added two new individuals to the management team. Amy Jones Satrom joins the leadership team as vice president of operations.

Bedrock Robotics automates large excavators to improve construction site economics. Bedrock said this will accelerate the deployment of Bedrock-equipped machines across commercial construction sites across the U.S., helping contractors use existing heavy equipment more safely, predictably, and at greater capacity.

The new capital follows a rapid commercial expansion beyond the company ’s initial footprint in the West and Central South into the Midwest and South Atlantic.
