realme releases Harry Potter Edition of its 16 Pro with a colour-changing Hogwarts crest

Chinese manufacturer realme has launched the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, a collectible Android phone built around the franchise. Engadget reports that it is the company's second collaboration with Warner Bros, following a Game of Thrones model released last year.
Design and colour-changing crest
The phone comes in a colour called Magic Brown, with a classic argyle pattern and a leathery finish. A golden Hogwarts crest sits at the centre of the back, which the company says uses what it calls the world's first quadra light sensing colour-changing technology.
When exposed to UV light, the crest turns into a spectrum in which each house crest lights up in its own colours. Golden accents frame the cameras and sides, and a laser-engraved banner reading "Welcome To Hogwarts" runs across the frame. The phone measures 8.47mm in width.
Specifications and packaging
The device has 12GB of RAM and 254 GM of storage, which Engadget judges adequate for most daily users. Buyers receive a small leather suitcase bearing a golden Hogwarts crest, along with other collectible accessories.
Demand and availability
According to the report, the original run sold out within minutes of release, prompting realme to offer a second batch on its website. Reviewers praised the thematic visual elements, the packaging and the Targaryen-inspired interface designs, a nod to the company's earlier Game of Thrones model.
Buyers who cannot justify the price of the phone can instead choose the Harry Potter-inspired realme Buds T500 Pro earbuds.
