Apple has announced a special event for next Wednesday, October 28 at 10 a.m., its second such event this month, according to 9to5Mac. The invitation is headlined "Pro and tell", and reports point to a lineup led by new MacBook Pro models.

Invitation and timing

The announcement came on October 19, 2026. Apple's invitation artwork reached members of the press and was also posted on social media by Greg Joswiak.

The event follows the "Welcome home" product launch on October 13 in New York City, which introduced the HomeView smart display, the HomePod mini 2 and a new Apple TV 4K.

Expected products

Citing Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, 9to5Mac reports that Apple is preparing 14-inch and 16-inch touchscreen MacBook Pro models with OLED displays. They would be the first with a Dynamic Island and are described as significantly lighter than current models. The new MacBook Pro models are expected to use the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

The reported list also includes a revamped iPad mini with an OLED screen, a "revamped speaker system" and a relocated FaceTime camera, along with a new iMac and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro running the M6 chip, which are said to resemble their current versions.
