What happened

AutoStore announced on November 5, 2026 that it had agreed to acquire (one company buying another) Logiqs BV, a Netherlands-based developer of roaming pallet automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), for up to €30 million. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Its warehouse technology is deployed at approximately 30 customer sites across multiple geographies and end markets. Vertical Transporters can carry an E-Carrier, a pallet or both together, while additional carriers can be deployed to one system level during peak periods.

Parth Joshi, AutoStore’s chief product officer and president of its product business unit, described roaming pallet systems as a new product and technology area for the company. AutoStore plans to bring the technology into that platform over time to address a broader set of needs for new and existing customers.

The Pallet System Behind the Agreement Logiqs develops roaming robots for automated storage and retrieval of palletized goods. The company has 60 employees, with automation, software and product capabilities that AutoStore considers complementary to its own.

Logiqs’ iCUBE brochure says pallets are transported on proprietary E-Carriers rated for loads of up to 1.6 tons and as many as three shifts on one charge. The carriers use a 48-volt electrical system and regenerative braking, with a cruising speed of one meter per second.

Logiqs says throughput (how much work a system gets through in a given time) can be scaled by adding E-Carriers, lifts or racking. Its array of carriers and lifts provides support for redundant operation alongside parallel inbound, outbound and order-picking processes.
