The series began in Austin in 2022 and has since held events in Berlin, Florianópolis, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Riga, Istanbul, Taipei, Las Vegas, Vienna, Nairobi, Toronto, and Seoul. In early 2028, a group of them plans to meet at the bottom of the world.

The event pairs a technical conference with an expedition ship that departs from Ushuaia, Argentina, crosses the Drake Passage, explores the Antarctic Peninsula, and returns to Ushuaia. The event plays on bitcoin’s cold storage (keeping crypto keys on a device not connected to the internet) , the practice of keeping keys offline.
