Pump.fun shifts cross-chain trades to its own Pump Bridge, reporting faster buys
Pump.fun has replaced the outside provider Relay with its own Pump Bridge as the default route for cross-chain trades in its mobile app. The Solana-based memecoin launchpad says internal tests show faster buys and fewer failed trades.
Pump Bridge becomes the default route
The Solana-based launchpad now sends trades that cross blockchains through Pump Bridge automatically, in place of Relay, the external service it relied on before. The switch took effect on October 21, 2026, according to the research findings behind this report.
Pump.fun has moved away from renting cross-chain infrastructure and is building its own. For users, Pump Bridge is the standard option for any trade that hops between chains, and it currently charges no additional bridging fees.
Speed and error figures rest on internal tests
The headline numbers come from Pump.fun's own internal testing rather than independent measurement. According to the platform, buys through Pump Bridge run about twice as fast as they did on Relay.
Pump.fun puts Relay's error rate above 10 percent and says Pump Bridge has reportedly pushed it below 1 percent. Under Relay, a typical cross-chain trade took around 4 seconds, while more than 10 percent of trades took longer than 7 seconds. The company is optimising toward a theoretical fastest cross-chain buy time of approximately 1.1 seconds, which is a target rather than a current result.
Why the platform built its own bridge
Pump.fun has been live on Solana since January 2024 and centres on its launchpad for creating and trading memecoins. In May 2026 it added cross-chain swap support, opening trading to several ecosystems, including Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain.
Those cross-chain trades initially ran through Relay. With Pump Bridge, the platform now handles that part of the trading process itself.
Open questions
- Will the reported speed and error-rate gains hold outside Pump.fun's internal tests?
- Will Pump Bridge keep charging no extra bridging fees?
