Stellar launches cross-chain messaging with ethereum through VIA Labs

What happened

Stellar adds cross-chain messaging through VIA Labs, connecting Soroban and Ethereum smart contracts (a program that runs on a blockchain and moves funds by its own rules) for stablecoin (a digital token meant to hold a fixed value, usually one dollar) transfers and tokenized (representing an asset as a tradable entry on a blockchain) asset applications.
