What happened

A malware (software written to damage a system or steal from it) campaign dubbed 'Midnight Mimosa' has been discovered on low-cost Android smartphones that ship with malicious software embedded in their firmware, allowing attackers to silently install apps, perform ad fraud, and turn devices into residential proxies. Google is a software and Internet company based in Mountain View, founded in 1998, and its products and services include Software tools.
