The new capability goes after a delivery problem that gets worse each time a company adds infrastructure.

Every new cluster adds release risk and slows delivery, the company said. Akuity is pitching it as a replacement for the per-cluster pipelines those teams maintain now.

Production environments that once meant one cluster or 10 now often run to hundreds, according to Akuity, with artificial intelligence speeding up that growth. Kargo Enterprise, which runs on the Akuity Platform, is the commercial edition of Kargo, the open-source (published so anyone may read, use and change the code) promotion project Akuity created. Kargo then promotes each change through the fleet wave by wave.
