The new Intel-powered Surface family is here! Here’s what it means for your fleet.
What happened
Microsoft’s Surface for Business refresh adds new Intel chips, 5G, stronger graphics and new privacy features. While the silicon is the headline, other notable items include 5G returning to the Surface Pro on Intel, the Surface Laptop picking up an integrated privacy screen, and the smaller 13-inch Surface Laptop now available on Intel for the first time. Intel is a semiconductor and electrical company based in Santa Clara. Microsoft is a software and software development company based in Redmond.
What’s launching This refresh covers three product families across four configurations, all of which run Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors with built-in Neural Processing Units (NPU). Microsoft has refreshed its Surface for Business lineup with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors, codenamed Panther Lake.
Here’s what stands out, and where it fits in a Microsoft-standardised environment. Every device in the lineup is a Copilot+ PC, and every screen is a touchscreen, as you’d expect from premium-quality products like these.
The lineup at a glance: Surface Pro for Business, 13-inch (12th Edition): This is the 2-in-1, available with Wi-Fi or built-in 5G. If you’re already running Surface in your fleet, the form factors and accessories are familiar.
