What happened

The company has struck an agreement to acquire (one company buying another) 800MHz spectrum for better indoor coverage, while the FCC has approved its Gen2 satellite constellation. SpaceX is acquiring low-band spectrum to improve Starlink Mobile's indoor coverage. SpaceX is a space company based in Hawthorne.

TL;DR SpaceX is taking steps toward making Starlink Mobile a nationwide competitor to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Americans have relied on the big three carriers , AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, for years now, and although that isn’t changing right now, SpaceX is positioning Starlink Mobile to compete as a new nationwide carrier option in the future.
