What happened

Kubo Care uses radar technology to keep elders safe at home, according to YourStory. Bengaluru startup Kubo Care operates with mmWave radar to detect falls in seniors at home in under a second, with no video or audio recorded. As families increasingly live in different cities and countries, keeping ageing parents safe at home can be a challenge.

Full-time attendants require trust and may not always be reliable, while video cameras can feel intrusive, particularly in bathrooms, where more than half of serious falls occur. Bengaluru-based Kubo Care is addressing this problem with a system that monitors movement continuously without recording video or audio, while keeping families informed.

The healthtech startup was founded in 2024 by CEO Ayush Agrawal and COO Anurag Ram Chandran. Agrawal, who previously co-founded senior care ecommerce platform Seniority and worked as an AVP at CARS24, experienced the problem firsthand when his father suffered a stroke and fell while alone at home.
