What happened

A Zurich-foundeddeveloper infrastructure startup has raised $42m in a Series B (an early stage of company funding) financing round, just seven months after completing its Series A. Namespace is a platform that increases the pace of software teams’ build and test workflows.

Its tech is geared towards engineering teams that want faster software development without managing the infrastructure themselves. Founded in 2022 by former Google principal engineer Hugo Santos, Namespace is aiming to be the infrastructure layer for AI coding agents, so developers and AI agents (AI that carries out multi-step tasks rather than answering one question) can build, test and run code faster. Its funding round comes at a time when coding agents have sped up the time to write software.
