Infineon and ZuriQ scale trapped-ion quantum chips
What happened
Infineon Technologies and Swiss quantum computing company ZuriQ have expanded their partnership to develop scalable quantum chips based on a two-dimensional trapped-ion architecture. The collaboration combines ZuriQ’s Penning micro-trap technology with Infineon’s semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging and integrated photonics capabilities.
