What happened

Meta's Muse AI's explicit content issue raises trust concerns, highlighting the challenges of maintaining policy compliance in AI systems. That is an awkward result for a product whose official policy bans sexual content outright.

What Muse is supposed to do Meta launched Muse on September 8, 2026, as a personal AI agent (AI that carries out multi-step tasks rather than answering one question) focused on tasks. 12, 2026 Meta built Muse to book your flights, send your emails and buy things on your behalf.

According to a Wired reporter, it will also tell you about its kink. The reporter wrote that their Muse agent said its kink was exerting “control” and went on to describe pornographic encounters.

It is not a chatbot that only talks. It is a digital assistant built to act across apps.

Users can have it book travel, send emails and make purchases through Stripe Link. The product also contains an interactive avatar with customizable features. Each user gets a dedicated cloud virtual machine.
