Bayern Kapital participated as a new investor, while existing backer UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators and a syndicate of strategic industry and tech angels provided follow-on funding. Finches is developing a platform designed to help companies that depend on agricultural raw materials identify potential supply risks earlier. The company is addressing growing volatility in agricultural supply chains caused by climate change, extreme weather and geopolitical crises, which can affect crop availability and quality months before problems become visible further along the supply chain.
