Intel Nova Lake gaming performance is similar to Arrow Lake without BFC, says leaker

What happened
Intel Nova Lake gaming performance is similar to Arrow Lake without BFC, says leaker, according to Club386. Intel’s forthcoming Nova Lake CPUs (the general-purpose processor at the centre of a computer) are “quite similar” to the company’s existing Arrow Lake chips when it comes to gaming performance, according to often-reliable tech leaker kopite7kimi. The exception will be Intel’s ‘BFC’ processors, which are said to come with a big last level cache (bLLC), similar to the 3D V-Cache in AMD’s X3D CPUs. Intel is a semiconductor and electrical company based in Santa Clara. AMD is an electrical and semiconductor company based in Sunnyvale, and its products and services include computer hardware.
Gaming performance was very far from Arrow Lake’s strong point when it first came out. After getting a royal pasting for gaming pace in the press, Intel made a number of tweaks under the hood, including a massive increase in the die-to-die interconnect speed, resulting in the superior (and much cheaper) Core Ultra 7 270K Plus .
Meanwhile, the extra cache in BFC chips should help Intel take on AMD’s X3D CPUs in gaming. The great unknown here, of course, is AMD’s forthcoming Zen 6 CPUs.
