What happened

You won’t be able to get it until Q1 2027, though. TL;DR Ring has announced its first-ever smart lock, which can be recharged with a built-in energy crank in the thumbturn.

Ring has also launched four new indoor and outdoor 4K cameras, along with an entry-level 2K indoor pan-and-tilt camera. This smart lock contains a fingerprint scanner and a touchscreen keypad, and users can control it through the Ring app or Alexa commands.

One product that’s missing from its portfolio is a smart door lock. The company is now filling that gap with its first-ever smart lock.
