EU securities regulator gives crypto platforms 3 months to remove unauthorized stablecoins

What happened

ESMA said authorized platforms must block new access to stablecoins (a digital token meant to hold a fixed value, usually one dollar) that fail to meet MiCA (the EU’s regulation for crypto markets) rules, while national authorities oversee existing customer holdings.
