Hackers hijack Google domains after breaching ccTLD registries
First reported Source: BleepingComputerLast editorial activity

What happened
Hackers obtained unauthorized HTTPS certificates for several Google domains and hijacked domains in the country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) for Ghana, American Samoa, and Sierra Leone after compromising third-party operators and modifying authoritative DNS (the system that turns a domain name into an address) records. Google is an Internet and software company based in Mountain View, founded in 1998.
