This Fitbit Edge upgrade takes it one step closer to buy-it-for-life status

What happened

Google has just announced the new Fitbit Edge fitness tracker , with dimensions identical to the brand’s previous narrow-screen options. Fitbit Edge does something no Fitbit has before: it lets you replace the battery.

Previously, Google would just offer replacements for broken Fitbit devices. However, even now, the only repairable part is the battery, and there are no details about the screen’s repair.
