Leonardo DiCaprio, yes that Leo, announces investment in Swedish EnergyTech startup Elvy

The announcement comes on the heels of their €5.9 million raise in May of this year , as well as a revenue increase of tenfold in 2025 when compared to the previous year. Elvy’s undisclosed investment from Leonardo DiCaprio comes amid more than €160.9 million in company-level funding reported by EU-Startups during 2026 across European businesses working on household electrification, building energy efficiency and distributed energy management.

Notable rounds include €21 million for London-based Axle Energy to connect distributed energy assets to electricity markets, €15 million for Oslo-based Photoncycle to develop seasonal household solar storage, and €10 million for Berlin-based GALVANY to expand heat-pump installation and optimisation. EU-Startups previously reported on Elvy’s €5.9 million funding round in May 2026 and its €500 million credit facility in December 2025.
