Amazon doesn’t trust Meta’s Muse AI agent

What happened
Meta's Muse AI agent has been blocked from shopping Amazon on behalf of its users, GeekWire reports. has blocked Meta Platforms Inc.’s Muse artificial intelligence agent from accessing its e-commerce marketplace.
The problem, Amazon says, is that it never agreed to any of it. (Meta Images) Amazon says it has cut off Meta’s new Muse personal AI agent from shopping on Amazon.com on behalf of customers, after attempting unsuccessfully to get the Facebook parent company to voluntarily exclude the e-commerce site from the experience.
The message Amazon is showing people who use Meta’s Muse agent to shop on its site. Amazon has spent the past year trying to keep outside agents off its site, suing Perplexity over its Comet browser and moving to block shopping agents from Google and OpenAI .
