What happened

TL;DR Google introduced Rambler for Gboard earlier this year, removing filler words and cleaning up your voice input for text conversion. Now Google Translate appears to be preparing its own similar mode called Smart assist. Google is an Internet and software company based in Mountain View, and its products and services include Google Voice.

It’s not yet clear if Smart assist would have some of the same limitations as Rambler. Voice-to-text sounds like a great idea… until you actually listen closely to how people really speak.
