Belgium’s NewSchool VC closes maiden fund at €10 million to back B2B technology startups

What happened
NewSchool VC, a Belgium-based venture capital fund that invests in B2B pre-Seed technology companies, has closed its first fund at its €10 million target. Notable names in its portfolio that have since raised follow-on rounds are Ravical, Warren, Spotable and Donna.
These include Willem Delbaere and Roeland Delrue (Aikido Security), Jean-Louis Van Houwe (Monizze) and Luc Coopman (Cobofisk). It has made 32 investments to date, 75% of which are based in Belgium, with the remainder spread across Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom. “Europe is an engineer’s continent, with technically strong teams.
