Hannes Brecher ( translated by Hannes Brecher), Published 10/12/2026 🇩🇪 Camera Launch Pergear has unveiled its second-generation 10 mm f/5.6 fisheye lens. While the specifications remain largely unchanged, the new version offers a higher-quality metal housing that also features an integrated lens hood.

The latest lens from Pergear makes it possible to add a fisheye perspective to cameras from Fujifilm, Sony, Canon or Nikon at a low price. A revised lens coating is intended to improve image quality, especially in backlit conditions.

The basic concept remains unchanged – Pergear positions the lens as a particularly affordable way to add a fisheye perspective to a camera with an APS-C sensor. Despite a full-frame-equivalent focal length of 15 mm, the lens achieves a field of view of 172 degrees, made possible by its pronounced fisheye distortion.
