Launched by solo founder Youssef Moataz, SAYR lets users enter a destination and a departure or arrival time, then serves up route options with simple, step-by-step directions covering where to walk, what to board, where to change and where to get off. The app covers buses, metro and other available public transport options.
While other navigation and transit apps exist, SAYR is betting that approachable, plain-language guidance is an underserved need. And the fully bootstrapped startup has made a strong start, passing 2,100 downloads in its first three weeks.
