What happened

AMD RDNA 5 GPUs (a chip built for many calculations at once, used for graphics and AI) won't be unveiled before Computex 2027, says Kepler_L2, and the reveal is likely to be even later in the year. Regular (and often reliable) tech leaker Kepler_L2 has claimed that AMD won’t be lifting the lid on its forthcoming GPU architecture until at least June 2027, and “most likely later in the year.” AMD is an electrical and semiconductor company based in Sunnyvale, and its products and services include graphics processing units.

If you were hoping to get an insight into AMD’s forthcoming RDNA 5 graphics tech in the New Year, then prepare for disappointment. Kepler_L2 was responding to a question on the Anandtech Forums asking if there was “any chance of AMD revealing RDNA 5 cards [in the] next 3-5 months,” with the user “praying for an RTX Pro 6000 competitor.”

However, it’s likely to be much longer. “4GB GDDR7 will not be used for next generation consumer parts,” says Kepler_L2 further down the thread.
